• I am not very savvy when it comes to code.
I am using the twenty fourteen template for a website. I have a list of members to an organization and I do not want the drop down menu to show each member’s page on the main page because you cannot scroll down. It just shows the first few. Members are getting frustrated and I am going to be forced to change templates if I can’t change it. Is there a way I can eliminate the drop down menu?
    Here is the website: http://owingsmillsbusinessgroup.com
    Thank you!!

  • Try going into Appearances>Menus and creating your own custom menu. Make sure that Add Auto Pages is off. It looks like without the long members menu, your menubar would be fairly simple.

    Thanks gordo019, for your help.
When I tried that, there was no menu at all across the top. I want to keep the main menu across the top, I just want to get rid of the drop down menu.
I know it’s just a simple thing, but I can’t seem to fix it.

Make sure your custom menu is assigned to the correct location (top primary menu), in the Manage Locations panel.

When I check top primary menu is when it removes all of the items in the menu bar. It seems like it is all or nothing. Either I have no menu bar or I have all of everything including the drop down.

Let me ask another question… Is there a way to have a hidden page that you can only reach through a link? That would be a way to work around this menu issue.

Thanks for your help. I found a plugin that allows me to remove pages from the menus.
