Remove “embed” box and link?
-
Just installed this plugin for our club. Seems to work fine, thus far. On the Sign Up Sheets listing page and on the View & Sign Up page, at the bottom of the displayed page, below all of the Tasks and space to sign up, is a box with a link.
The box contains the name of the website, with a link that when clicked shows another black box offering “WordPress Embed|HTML Embed”. It appears to be some sort of iframe.
I am not sure what this is for. I can easily remove it via CSS, but I am wondering what it’s purpose might be, and if there’s a place in settings to disable it.
TIA for your help!

My plugin doesn’t create any output with that text, nor any type of iFrame.
Some other plugin is doing that, or possibly even your theme. Maybe a conflict with some CSS of something else in my plugin which is causing it to show, but that is definitely not coming from my plugin.
I would turn off other plugins one at a time and see if it goes away. If you have tried all the other plugins, and it’s still there, try switching to another theme temporarily to see if it’s a theme issue.
Most likely it’s some type of embed code from another plugin or from some other content you tried to embed on the page? Perhaps through a widget? Nothing I have ever seen before and I am 100% certain that the text “WordPress Embed|HTML Embed” appears no where at all in my plugin.
Thanks for your note. Apparently, this odd behavior was caused by my experimenting with adding a direct link to the sign-in page. I am not quite sure how this is happening, but it most certainly is not a fault of the plug, as you’ve pointed out.
I will let you know if I can figure out exactly what was going on.
