Here are the answers to your questions:
1) How do I remove the footer which references the name of the theme and that it’s WP?
We don’t have an option for that in the free version. This will be a PRO version feature (the PRO version will be released in about 1 week).
2) Is there a code to create two columns of information in on section?
This can be done. You can use one of the “features” sections (for example “features-square-image-section”), remove one column and set it to display 2 columns per row (this can be done from the section settings menu). Please see this screenshot:

Then you can add text and images in the two columns using the “add elements” buttons.
