Remove Google Font

    Hello!
    I’m using the Hestia theme on my wordpress site for a simple non-commercial blog.
    I have seen that the theme accesses the Google Fonts via API.
    Would it be possible to disable this?
    In Germany it is legally better to have the fonts directly on your own webserver instead of loading them from Google.
    Therefore, I would like to upload the font to my server and use it from there.

    If this is not possible, I unfortunately have to look for another theme, which does not embed Google fonts via URL.

    It’s possible to disable Google Fonts using a plugin such as this one.

    Hi @luciamarinescu,

    I have already installed the plugin.
    Additionally I have installed OMGF.
    It’s really a shame that you have to help yourself with additional plugins, instead of the developers simply pack the fonts in the theme directly to it.

    Hi @hoerli!

    Another option to remove Google fonts from the theme would be to add the code that can be found here at the end of the function.php file of a child theme. You can find a guide about creating a child theme here.
