Remove grey bar under header
-
Hi all,
I’m a WordPress amateur but have been trying to customize my Bayleaf theme via custom css. However, I cannot seem to fix one issue: right under my yellow header, there’s a grey bar that I can’t remove. I have tried multiple codes that I found on this forum and other forums, but nothing so far has helped. On the ‘over’ and ‘contact’ pages I managed to move the bar to the end of the page, but I want to remove it everywhere.
Hoping someone can help me!
Thanks in advance,

Hi there,
You have made lots of css changes in so-css-bayleaf.css. There are few things should help you make proper css changes,
Step 1. Instead of
#primary.content-area { background-color: #ffffff; }Use
body { background-color: #ffffff; }It will make everything white and grey color will be converted to white.
Step 2. Remove following css from your custom css file
#content.site-content.wrapper { margin-top: 0px; margin: 0px; top: -95px; }Step 3. To reduce OR increase this gap (the grey in question). Add following css
.index-view .site-content, .home .site-content { margin-top: 3.5rem; } .site-header { margin-bottom: 3.5rem; } @media only screen and (min-width: 1024px) { .singular-view:not(.home) .site-header { margin-bottom: 5.25rem; } }change 3.5rem and 5.25rem to whatever value you want. It will change the grey gap height.
I hope this should solve your problem. If you need more help. Please reply to this message.
Thanks
