Hi @zigojacko,
if you want to add the custom CSS then you need to add them in by going to AMP => Design => Global => add these code on the Custom CSS code —
You can just target the id or class and remove it by CSS and if you provide me the URL of your website then I will give you the CSS and you can add that to remove the h1.
I don’t want to add or remove it by CSS though – I know how to do that myself.
There shouldn’t be more than one h1 on the page so we want to remove the one that the theme is inserting. Hiding it with CSS just hides it, it will still be there in the source code when a search engine crawls the page.
Whatever you write in the WordPress editor will automatically be added in AMP version also and If you want only one h1 tag on the page then why are you adding more than one on your non-amp version by your theme?
Will you please provide us with your exact url and so that we will check once and let you know
@ampforwp in the non-amp theme, we are not inserting an h1 via the theme…
The switch amp theme that you are providing however does.
@zigojacko If you write anything in the title section then according to the WordPress standards it will be in the H1 tag.
And if you want to change the h1 in amp then you can follow this and changed it.
