I temporarily put online my website for you to have a look (I’m still working on it). You can see the behaiour here https://www.windbehindme.com/ (first post) or on page 5 (the last two posts, which are the ones who have an image at the moment)
I tried with different wp templates (including the ones that come with wordpress), no difference.
It happens both online and on my local install (I use MAMP)

P.S. I also tried with similar blocks from different developers and the caption is not shown with them.

thanks for getting back to me with this. I updated the plugin, however the problem is still there. If you look at my website https://www.windbehindme.com/testhome/ you can see the first words in the blog list are a caption of the photo at the beginnig of the matching post.
