    Hello,

I am building this website for a client, and I am having issues with the mobile version of the navigation.

When you view this website on a mobile device (I have only tested this on iPhone), and you click “Publications” in the top navigation bar, it randomly chooses to open the actual dropdown that you can see in the desktop version, or it will decide to show a bulky almost-full screen menu fly in from the left with the same links. Or sometimes both.

Is there a way to remove this bulky almost-full screen menu and just keep the regular dropdown?

    Thank you!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I don’t think so, as in I don’t think it’s worth your time. The reason I think that is because Twenty Nineteen has a couple of hundred lines of JavaScript that manipulates the menu in a way that makes it keyboard accessible. It’s a real mess in terms of modifying the behaviour of it and I recommend staying away from it.

Drats! I also assume there is no way to style it differently? Or if there is it would also be a pain?

I have one more unrelated question about an issue with the theme. Can I ask you or should I make a new forum post?

Thank you so much for your help so far!

How would you want to style it? With CSS you could change it up quite a bit though you’d have to account for both desktop/mobile versions to ensure continuity.

Most likely best to start another topic if it is a different issue.

Thank you for your response. We decided to get rid of the dropdown for now because of all the issues with it. Thanks for both of your help!
