Remove “more” tag on short posts?

Love this plugin, but I’m having trouble figuring out how to remove the “Read More” tag when the full post = the excerpt, in other words, then there is none more to read. I’m surprised this isn’t built-into the plugin.

However, it only works when NOT using the option to finish the sentence. I’m not adept at the code enough to figure out what needs to be added, but I imagine it wouldn’t take much to tweak the gist above to get it to work. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
