When adding a table, there is the Table Properties option which has ‘General’ and ‘Advanced’ tabs.

In the General tab there are options for cell spacing, cell padding, border etc which set the table attributes such as <table cellpadding="2" cellspacing="5" border="1">. Given these are not valid for HTML5, is there a way to remove/disable them from the interface so that users aren’t tempted?

    many thanks

Sure, uncheck the Show the advanced tabs in the table properties dialogs option on the settings screen. This will also hide Style, Border style, Border color, Background color, etc.

    That’s great – it works.

I feel foolish for not realising that this option referred to removing both of the tabs. I like that it results in a simpler properties box that just has width, height and alignment.

    many thanks
