remove or hide slider for mobile theme

I would like to remove the slider for when the page is open on a mobile phone.
Ive read this comment but it doesnt work for me..

and entered the following code on my CSS:

if ( function_exists( ‘easing_slider’ ) ) { easing_slider(); }
}
?>

but i still get the slider on a phone.
