    Hello,

First of all, thank you so much for this plugin and for the installation guide (which is well worth the price!). My current hosting service likes to brag about ‘unlimited’ databases, but neglects to mention that each db can have only 1000 tables so, this plugin was a life saver as my multisite installation already was pushing 400 tables in under 3 weeks!!

Now that I have SharDB up and running with the, ahem, “17” tables, I was just wondering if I have to keep the original db around for any reason? Is it safe to remove it? (I saw this question asked in another post, but there were so many questions in it, I don’t think it got answered.)

    Thanks!

Once you are comfortable everything is running fine you can remove the original DB.

You can verify that the DB isn’t being used by renaming one of the global tables & one of the main site tables. If you do that rename & your site still runs fine then you know your site isn’t using the DB.
