How can I remove pages from showing as items in the toolbar?
I’d like to not have them take up space.-

Hi and thanks for your feedback.
What item do you mean exactly? Are you meaning the “Edit Pages” item in the Site Group > Manage Content? Or elsewhere?
Please give me the exact location or share a screenshot.I am more than happy to provide you a snippet to remove whatever item(s) you don’t want! π

David Decker. Reason: typo
Basically, in the right middle is my pages-names –welcome about blog contact etc.
How can I remove these? I do have a screenshot but not seeing where to uploadYou can upload the screenshot on any image sharing service, or also Dropbox etc.
or just in our Facebook group also: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ToolbarExtras/However, I am wondering where those page names come from? Since Toolbar Extras does NOT add such page names. So this sounds a bit strange to me…
Do you use another plugin for this, maybe “Admin Page Spider” this does exactly that — but this one has a settings page where you could disable pages.
I don’t have that plug in or any tool bar related installed. I will include a link to the screenshot in my next post and I will list all installed plug-ins.
When I uninstall your plgin it goes away and when I reinstall it appears again. I’ll try to send my next post earliest in the morning that I can since right now it’s pat 11 pm in California USAHi
Your own web page names appear due to you setting/checking the last option under your Wp Menu (WP Admin Menu Left > Appearance > Menus) that says Site Toolbar Menu.
I actually find this option really useful along with some of the other benefits of David’s great plugin.

Thanks for your feedback!Yes, user @keithbernardce seems to be fully right with that – you just mistakenly asigned your Nav Menu to the internal Toolbar location (from my plugin).
See the following screenshots in my Dropbox to explain this visually:
1) When setting up your menu (for frontend) DO NOT use “Site Toolbar Menu” location:

—> this is only visible in the Toolbar for logged-in AdminsHope that helps.
Thanks @keithbernardce π
Thanks so much KeithC2O and David.
I never thought to look there KeithC2O.
I appreciate your insight!
That was exactly what I needed to fix this issue!
Now I can turn it on or off as needed!!!
David thanks for a great plugin! And thanks for your personal attention!Hi rebelranger2
Glad it worked for you π
Thanks again you both π
Since this might also be of interest for other users, I put this info together in a little Documentation article on the plugin’s website:
