Remove Past Events Automatically

I have added a bunch of recurring events starting in January 2013, and ending in May 2013.

When I create my event list, there’s no issue; because I can manually add scope=”future” to the shortcode to hide all of the past events.

But when I do a search for locations, all of the past events appear as well. Is there a way I can set it so it removes past events automatically – even if they’re a past event of a set of recurring events?
