Currently when a visitor to clicks on the Donation button they are directed to a PayPal page with donation amounts with donations starting at $75, $100, $150 then a window to add in a donation amount. Is there a way to have a PayPal donation page with the the window to add in a donation amount and no preset donation amounts?

    Hi @mkirkd,

If you set the price to 0.00 then when the user get to PayPal.com they can enter any amount they want.

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Hi Scott,

Thanks for your fast responce! I tried this and there was no difference. I set the donation on the button in the Main section to 0.00 and all the donation amounts are still there. Is there another place I need to set the donation amount to 0.00?

If you only set the “Donation Amount:” field to 0.00. Leave the dropdown menu options empty.

Yes I set the donation amount to 0.00 and I don’t have anything in the drop down menu options.

When I click on the donation button in the top right menu of your site it works correctly for me:

Thanks again Scott for your fast response. I opened a private window in FireFox and cleared the history. Then I brought up the website and clicked on the donate button and it was perfect.

I then closed out of FireFox…reopened and cleared the chache and I’m still getting the old paypal window the all the donation amounts.

I did the same process in Chrome and there even in the private window I got the old page.

Do you think it is something that just will take a little time to load across servers?

    Cheers,

Sounds like your settings are correct. I think it may be a cache issue somewhere.

Must be a cache issue that is stuck somewhere even thought I cleared the cache. Thanks again for your help.

    Hi there Scott,

Well I just can’t get this button to come up with a blank amount. Here is what I’ve tried:

    Firefox
    1. Gave it over night to work and it didn’t.
    2. Cleared cache and history same result
    3. Put 5.00 in the donation field and it worked. Whenyou click on the donatin button the window had $5.00.
    4. Put the donation field back to 0.00 then the donation window went back to the $75.00, $100.00 and $125.00 donation fields
    5. Tried it in a private window and it works, I get a new PayPal window with $0.00 in the donation field.
    6. I tried all the buttons to see if that would make a difference and it didn’t. I got the same results.
    Chrome
    1. Same results as FireFox but the incognito window showed the same results as the regular window.

Called my hosting service and there is nothing on their end. Hosting service tech suggested it could be a PayPal issue.

Do you have any ideas of why this isn’t working?

    Cheers,

Just tested on Firefox and Chrome on my end. It is showing as user can enter their own amount.

It appears that this is still related to your specific computer somehow.

I think it must be my internet service. I had a friend test that lives say 7 miles from me but has a different internet provider and she got the right window.

Thanks so much for testing again. You are great!

Have a wonderful weekend…I hope you have a three day weekend.

    Cheers,

    Maureen
