Remove PDF icon when hyperlinking

Hello

I wonder if someone could help me out? When I hyperlink a PDF file to bit of text, a small PDF icon appears on the left of this text.

For example: I want people to click on the words: ‘training course’ and when they click on it the PDF file shows up. BUT I do not want to show the PDF icon on the left side, if that makes sense.

Can anyone please help?

Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

TablePress is not adding such an icon, so that it’s likely done automatically by your theme.
Can you please post a link to the page with the table where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!

Hi,

thanks, that helps!

To remove that icon, you’ll have to modify the HTML code for those links. In
```
<a href="..." class="mtli_attachment mtli_pdf">...</a>
```
you will have to remove the
```
class="mtli_attachment mtli_pdf"
```
part.

it should be in the table cells. Or how are you adding the links to the tables?

Nop, not that I am aware of. When I select the cell, the only thing I am seeing is what I wrote above!

Hi,

can you post the cell content again, wrapped in and (backticks0? Otherwise it will be interpreted by the forums software and not shown as code (see also the description below the input field where you type your replies here).

Hi,

thanks! So that extra HTML is coming from something else. Do you happen to be using the MimeTypes Link Icons plugin from https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/mimetypes-link-icons/ ? That seems to be doing something like that.
