Remove plugin

Hi, I’ve took over a website and I’m trying to remove all unnecessary plugins. I have amr shortcode any widget plugin and in widget area in Widgets for Shortcodes I have nothing. Does it mean it’s unnecessary? Is there a way to check if plugin is actually used?

It’s probably not in use. They could also have referenced a whole sidebar.
To find shortcodes in a site (not just this plugin, but any) , you can use the plugin I wrote in desperation to find out what existed where!
