Hi,
The only way to find out which plugin or theme is loading it, is by disabling one plugin at a time… Clear any cache plugin’s cache content, clear browser history and re-visit your webpage source code to see if it’s gone.
Do this for theme too.
Thank you
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I spent hours yesterday doing just that. Every single plugin was deactivated and the site rechecked.
The issue was not resolved and the second font-awesome still loaded. I have researched this and done everything I can think of before posting to the forum.
Thanks,
Nyla
So, I used the 2015 theme and the problem was not there…So, the theme appears to be loading two versions of Font-awesome. How do I instruct it to only use one version?
Thanks again!

Hi,
Twenty Fifteen theme don’t use font awesome.
If you cannot find which plugin is loading it, you should hire a developer from http://jobs.wordpress.net to login to your website to investigate this issue for you.
Any theme ( hosted on ww.wp.xz.cn ) loaded stylesheet link will have an id, in this case your stylesheet link does not contain any id.
Thank you

The theme is not hosted on ww.wp.xz.cn. It is self-hosted and not in the respository. I’m aware it does not have a stylesheet link, that’s why I posted to this forum, so that someone could at least point me to where it might be in the theme (I have already looked and the url is not in the files from what I can see). Ideally I would appreciate the code to remove the link without the ID.
As I said, I have tested every single plugin, so I know it is not a plugin.
I tested with 2015 theme and with plugins running precisely to show that it is the theme.
Thanks,
Nyla
