Hi brody182,

That text is the “Welcome Message” and you can edit/change/delete it under Classifieds->Settings, General tab. More on it here in the docs: http://awpcp.com/documentation/#settings-general

what if i want the text to show up on the main home page but not under a specific category?

I am using [AWPCPSHOWCAT] to pull ads from a specific category on the sidebar, but do not want the extra links and text

There’s no setting to handle that–you’d have to hack the output of each short code to do something like that. The settings for showing/hiding the menu items are global for AWPCP
