Remove URL Field from Comments Entry

    I have soured the web and tried numerous proposed solutions and none of them work. I finally came across the following resource which explained that if these methods do not work I would need to contact the support team for my theme:

    Please advise what steps are required to completely remove the URL filed from the comment entry form. Note there are four fields displayed: Content, email address, name and website. I want to remove the 4th item in that list so that people who leave comments are no longer able to include a website URL in that filed.

    So it appears that support for this WP theme has completely evaporated. And the only recourse is to switch to a different WP theme which is fully up to date and supported.

    FYI. I’ve been using this theme since day one. October 2014, if anyone is interested.

    Update. As it turns out, this website field for the comments was being generated by the Jetpack plugin. Sorry for any confusion.
