Hi tjoge02
Did you also remove the ‘Website’ checkbox in ‘DMSGuestbook -> Guestbook settings -> Mandatory’?
Greetings,
Dani
I posted a new entry: Test 123. It seems to be ok…
What did you mean with “I am not able to enter any website.”?
Dani
I disabled the input tag in the file default.tpl on “../plugins/dmsguestbook/template/form/”
Here is how the input tag looks like in the file default.tpl:
$var_form4 = “
<!– url field DISABLED added October 21st 2013 –>
<div class=’css_form_textfieldspace’>
<input class=’css_form_urlfield’ type=’text’ name=’gburl’ value=’$gburl’ disabled />
<b class=’css_form_text’> $lang_url $var_mandatory_url</b></div>
Then when I enter my guestbook,(www.gtjomsland.as), I can enter name, e-mail and Gravatar Email, and the ‘website’ in the form is disabled. You can check by enter the http://www.gtjomsland.as and select the guestbook.
Sorry for the late answer, but I am currently in Thailand and we are 11 hours ahead of your ET(new your time)
Regards
Geir

Hi Geir
That’s true, your website input field is disabled, this is what you wanted isn’t it?
Would you like to set hidden the whole website form?
I’ve wrote two comments on your page, with email and gravatar information and it seems everything works fine.
Maybe I misunderstood you…
Greetings,
Dani
Hi Dani
Maybe you misunderstood me. The problem is that I still receive entries in my guestbook with the name of website filled out even though the field is disable. Here is an example:
Name: Fatima
Email: [email protected]
Website: http://imaginationwithoutborders.northwestern.edu
As you see, the Website field is filled out. It should have been blank, or ‘http://’ only
Is it possible to enter my guestbook from outside of my website???
Regards
Geir

Hi Geir
Your website field is not really disabled, it’s only disabled as long as someone remove that value with a tool like Firebug (Firefox). It seems to be you got a lot of spam on you website. A spammer can try to break the disabled website field by using a script or other (web)tools.
I suggest you following steps:
– Use reCAPTCHA. Switch that on “DMSGuestbook -> Guestbook settings -> Captcha / Akismet”
– Remove the whole url content of $var_form4: $var_form4 = "";
Greetings,
Dani
Hi Dani
I have now removed the $var_format4…… content, and also changed the setting for reCaptcha. When I enter my guestbook, the WEBSITE is gone(good), but I get a message after the message box:
Input error: k: Format of site key was invalid
Am image box with a code should have appeared, but nothing, just the message
Regards
Geir
Hi Dani,
I have not received any new entries to my Guestbook. That is good. All the entries before came from people, as you suggested, that removed the ‘disabled’ value through tools like Firebug.
The only problem I have was with the reCaptcha, so I set it back to Antispam Image under “Guestbook settings/Captcha-Akismet”.
Regards
Geir
Input error: k: Format of site key was invalid
Could be a problem with reCAPTCHA, did you enter the right key(s)?
Dani
What is the right key(s), It just say “0” for both keys.
Here is what I have in the Guestbook settings for CAPTCHA/Akismet options:
Antispam off:
Antispam image:
Antispam mathematic figures:
reCAPTCHA: x
reCAPTCHA public key: 0 (What do I enter here?)
reCAPTCHA private key: 0 (What do I enter here?)
Antispam key: B9Je001$YT)foZde#K%6 ?
Akismet:
DMSGuestbook has found an Akismet key ca1b1f7d00bf
Move spam to the spam folder
Block guestbook post if spam is found on it
Geir
Geir, you have to create a reCAPTCHA key first here
Hi Dani
Sorry for the late replay. I have been around in Thailand for a few days. I will look into the installation of reCAPTCHA.
You can go ahead and close this issue. My guestbook looks much better now. Thanks for the help
Geir
