You’re right, that should not show with comment turned off.
You appear to be using the Vivre theme, you may have better results posting in that theme’s support forum.

Hello! I disabled comments on a post, but at the bottom I still see the word “Comments ().” You can’t actually leave a comment, but I don’t want to see the leftover header. Is there any way to remove this? Thanks!
