Removing Featured Image in Posts

    I am brand new to WordPress. I just had my Blogger blog transferred to WP .org – The second post I created in WP, I was playing around and clicked “add featured image”. I then realized that it duplicated the first image in my post and put it above the blog title. So then it looks stupid with two of the same photo on top of each other. I found out that if I delete the featured image before it’s published, it will also delete the image in the post. If I permanently delete the image after it posts, it goes away & looks great, but the next time I create a post it does the same thing… plus it forces me to delete everything out of my media file. I have found this topic in the forums but I’m so new to this – I don’t understand what the php. is, etc. I’m using the Fabric Child Theme from StudioPress 1.0.1.     I take that back – in THIS POST, I removed the “Featured Image” and it stayed in the post for a while but now it’s gone. At 10pm tonight PST, my latest blog will be posted & I left the featured image in it, just so you can see what I mean…

    Have you asked StudioPress for help with this? They provide support for their commercial themes – and since we don’t have access to those, they’ll be more likely to be able to help with this kind of question.
