Removing Post Expanding Button

Is there anyway to remove the post expanding button on a picture? It is difficult to explain what it does, so I’ll post a link to my website so you can see for yourself. When you hover your cursor over one of the posts, the picture “floats” and a magnifying glass icon appears and a square with an arrow coming out of it. The magnifying glass enlarges the picture (which is what I want. I run a website to show off my photography portfolio) The square opens the post where I can write a description about the picture (which I never do. I only want to enlarge the picture, not open the post page)

I know this sounds difficult to understand. When you go to the website, hover your cursor so you can see the icons and see what they do. I want to know if there is a way to get rid of the “expand post button” (square with an arrow)
