Removing Price Filter

    I need to remove the filter by price widget from my shop page. I have tried just dragging the widget out of the widget area but every time I do that it just gets placed in it again. I have also tried using the woosidebars plugin to create a custom widget area to overwrite the one on the shop page.

    Sounds if you have other issues going on. Do your other widgets allow you to disable? Try dragging in to the same sidebar a regular text widget. Then try to drag that out and see if it remains in there.

    I figured out that it is a problem with my theme. When I change my theme back to Twenty-Twelve I am able to move widgets around, i.e. I can remove and add them to widget areas.

    I will have to ask the theme author about this.

    It was a problem with the theme. I just had to include some custom css to block it. Also he had a sidebar creator in his theme so the woosidebars did nothing.

    Thanks for pointing me in the right direction though.
