Removing query parameters from redirect

I have a redirect that is supposed to go from
mydomain.com/fred
to
mydomain.com/page?user=fred

This plugin strips the ?user=fred off of the URL during the redirect and makes it impossible for me to capture the user parameter in my gravity form. (Works correctly when this plugin is disabled.)

Can I disable it just for this page or for all redirects somehow? Plugin works great for everything else, but I need to be able to use parameters that aren’t UTMs without having them stripped off.
