• Hello experts !!

    can anyone help me out?

i removed Recaptcha from my website, what i did is,

1- removed my website’s property from google recaptcha admin console

2- removed the script as well that i added in header section of my website.

now even i have removed the cache, i get recaptcha error in browser’s console “Uncaught Error: Invalid site key or not loaded in api.js: 6Ldm3IAUAAAAAEQxGUipvYRw2CkU-qcV0oawKEBn”. i checked page source and there is a script to recaptcha, dont know what am i missing to completely remove it? 2 days ago my google adsense ads stopped showing i am suspecting this error causing the issue.

can anybody help me removing it completely from my wordpress website to solve this issue issue? kindly take a look at screenshots.

  • Have you also removed the keys from Contact Form 7’s Contact >> Integration >> reCaptcha?

but my ads are still not showing i dont know why, when the code is there, ads were being shown from last 4-5 months, stopped showing 2 days ago, i didn’t receive any email or notification by google in adsense account. Can you please help me out regarding that as well.? 🙂

    Thank you.

This is a problem, but the bigger problem is compromising website security by deleting Recaptcha

Recaptcha isn’t a security measure, don’t confuse it for one.

If you want a real security measure, we have some recommendations at https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/article/hardening-wordpress/

As for AdSense no longer displaying, it’s not tied to Recaptcha.

How were you adding the ads before? Via a plugin?

@macmanx no sir, i am using a paid theme and there is a separate section to put in codes to show ads at different places on the whole website. And at side bar, there is also a builtin widget to show ads at side bar.

ads were working fine since January 2019, havent received any email/notification as well

Ok, so ad functionality is a feature of your theme. In that case, I recommend checking with the theme’s support.
