    Hi,

I’m quite new to WordPress with a limited amount of time so I like to make things as simple as possible. I’m making a website using your nice theme and I was thinking of buying the premium version. Now I’m still testing the free version, though.

Anyway, my question is can you remove the comments bar from posts?
For my purpose, there is no added value of comments. So I would prefer that the adding the comments -bar would not even show up. Is this possible and how is it done?

  • Hey there mr.johannes,

    Hope you’re well today!

You should be able to remove comments from your theme by disabling them in Settings -> Discussion, see screenshot http://screencast.com/t/aKQs9jR3. This should disable comments from new posts, as for the old ones you should be able to do the same by going in individual posts and in clicking in the top right corner on “Screen Options” and enabling discussion. Once you do new meta box should appear where you can just uncheck allow comments which should remove the box on the front http://screencast.com/t/Cko1wMk8.

If that doesn’t work please let me know and I’ll provide CSS to remove comments from your posts 🙂

    Best regards,
    Bojan
