    I have looked at all the similar posts here but I’m having no luck. I know where the code is roughly but when I take bits out it messes up my whole theme. Live website is timolthof.com Below is my header file. ANY help would be much appreciated!!

    You should be able to achieve what you want by changing the line:
    <title><?php bloginfo('name'); ?> <?php if ( is_single() ) { ?> &raquo; Blog Archive <?php } ?> <?php wp_title(); ?></title>
    to
    <title><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></title>

    Thanks for your reply Kalessin, that didn’t work 🙁
    You did however gave me an idea and i took out these two bits of code and it worked:

    <?php bloginfo('name'); ?>

    <?php bloginfo('description'); ?>

    I’m not sure if this is the best way and if it stuffs up something else however.. can anyone shed some light on this?

    What exactly do you want to be displayed in the window title?

    Can anyone help with this. I also want to remove the title from the header but have tried removing bits like “olthof” with no luck.

    I want to remove the “Blog Title” as I will be creating a new header which will have everything I want in it.

    Get rid of this code:

    <h1><a href="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a></h1>

    That is your blog title in the theme

    Hi,

    You can add/remove blog title from your blog admin section…settings -> general -> blog title section which is easier rather then go to modify the code.

    Thanks,

    Shane G.
