Removing wordpress bar

That’s probably the wpadminbar.
Perhaps Buddypress makes that show, I don’t know.

Adding

#wpadminbar {
  display: none
}

will hide it (Appearance -> Theme options -> CSS).

show_admin_bar(false);

But if you want admins to have the bar (yourself for example):

  show_admin_bar(false);

}
