render blocking resources causing long load time

After configuring settings in hummingbird to automatically optimise files to eliminate render blocking resources they are still causing a large delay in load time. A large delay is also caused by not preloading key requests, I can find no option for this on hummingbird. I am using elementor pro page builder. Thanks in advance
