The Pods 3.0 release originally planned that you may have found details on that included that feature has been split up into Pods 2.8, 2.9, and 3.0 — with 2.8 including field groups and 2.9 including simple repeatable fields.
The 2.9 and 3.0 releases have had their major feature voted on by our Friends of Pods (donors).
3.0 is in development now and should be in beta in the next week or two. That 3.0 feature will be Conditional Logic for Fields.
Currently the work to support repeatable field groups is a high level of work and has not been voted forward yet.
But Pods has had a feature since 2.7 that may fit your needs and is better for structured content: Flexible Relationships — https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=V8c067GAEcA
Hi Scott,
Thanks heaps for your comprehensive answers – highly appreciated! Too bad, that this features has not been voted forward yet, hope that’s gonna change in the future 🙂
Thanks for recommending the workaround with flexible relationships. I had a look at it but it seems it wouldn’t really solve my problem.
I am running an affiliate site based on woocommerce and would like to extend woocommerce products to enable a price comparison. In practice this would mean to be able to add field groups with price information for each merchant in a product. So for each merchant I’d add a field group with fields such as “merchant name”, “price”, “link” etc.
I assume repeatable field groups would be perfect for this. If you have any other idea how to implement this with PODS I’d be grateful, but I think I had a pretty detailed look at the current features and it seems it’s not possible.
Thanks again for this great plugin!
