Repeated fields into one column

    Hi Felipe,
    First of all, great plugin. Exactly what i needed. I also need your help if possible.
    On the website (link provided) i made registration forms in 4 different language’s.
    The repeated fields i am using to add more subscribing wrestlers.
    I am using the plugin https://nl.ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/contact-form-cfdb7/ to extract the data submitted through the forms.
    My problem is the following:
    In the extracted “CSV”file every wrestler field get his own column, wrestler-name__1 | wrestler-name__2 | wrestler-weight__1 | wrestler-weight__2 and so on.
    What i would like to have is that all repeated fields wil end up in there own column like this:
    Wrestler-name | wrestler-weight | birth-year | Gender
    “name 1” 60kg 2007 male
    “name 2” 40kg 2006 female

    And so on.
    Can you please help me with a solution for this?

    Hi Tjerk,

    Thank you very much, it’s nice to know the plugin helped you. Unfortunately, you’ll need some custom code to achieve what you desire. Giving a quick look at the CFDB7 plugin, it seems you could use the cfdb7_before_save_data filter to properly modify the data sent but that is a bit more than a hunch.

    Hi Felipe,

    I am sorry but i am not a developer.Because off that i was very happy to find your plugin. So i was hoping that you could provide me with a solution. Browsing the net I found out that for instance gravity forms is building a beta version for nested fields.
    But i was very happy with contact form 7 and your plugin for now.
    The only problem as i mentioned is that we wil get in forms from about 23 countries with probably around 800 wrestlers. So if i have to manually sort all that data i am…..

    The former registration form that was build on a old website used a html table and then exported this data. You can have a look there if you want.

    But again i am not a developer. I know some scripting but this goes way above my head.

    I would appreciate if you would like give it some thoughts from you developer point of view.

    This is the beta version page from gravity forms.
    Maybe it wil give you some bright ideas to make your plugin even more populair with nested possibilities 🙂

    Hey Tjerk,

    First of all, thanks for the review!

    Although you have pointed to excellent links, unfortunately, none of them will help with the solution you need 🙁

    This will require another plugin, to be the glue between mine and CF7DB. As it will require some time, you’ll need to hire someone to help you with that.
