There is a bug when editing repeating events that span more than one day.

Create an event that spans a full work week and ends repeating a year from now.

Go to the main event and then edit the event end date, to say 6 months from now and select to apply to all events of this series. This should remove the last 6 months of events. (What happens if someone was booked during one of the events about to be trashed?)

All future events (except first 2) are now trimmed to being single day events instead of the week long event you had set up.

It seems that on the parent event edit page, under the Event Settings section, a full date range (e.g., spanning an entire year) may have been entered to cover all repeated events.

However, for repeating events, please note the correct setup approach:

    • You only need to specify the Start Date and End Date for the first occurrence of the event (e.g., a week-long event from Monday to Friday).
    • After setting this, configure the Repeat Settings as required (e.g., daily, weekly, custom dates, etc.).
    • The system will then automatically generate the future events based on these repeat rules, maintaining the same duration as the first occurrence.

Yes, this is exactly how it was setup. Only the start date / end date was supplied (week long) for the main event and then a weekly repeat was setup with an end date for the entire year. After this edit the main event again to trim the repeat to only go to say September and apply this to all events in the series. The first 2 events in the series are still week long events; however, the remaining future events are now trimmed to being single day events.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

To help us better understand the issue, could you please create a new repeat event using the same steps and let us know if the issue persists after doing so?

Additionally, could you please share screenshots of the “Repeat” and “Date & Time” sections—both before and after trimming the repeat range.

    We truly appreciate your cooperation.

Hi this exact bug is happening for me.

I have created an event that last a few hours, so i select the same date and then the times 9am and 11am for start end times. I select that it repeats every week monday-friday. and the end date as for example the end of the year.

after I publish the change, the end date changes back to todays date and the calendar only shows the first date.
