Replace bullet point in category list

    Hi,

    I have place the product categories in the widget area.

    Can you please tell me if there is anyway to change the default bullet point to something else, in this case a line that is the same height as the text, a thickness that I can determine and slightly to the left. Also when a user is on a specific category, the change in text colour should also be the same for the line.

    Please advise.

    You will need to place some custom css. Open the desired widget in console to have its css class and ID and edit them in your style.css

    What is this console?
    I am unsure on how to replace the dots with a line?

    I am practically a newbie with coding and I do not want to do something that will affect my website adversely.

    Sorry for the lack of knowledge.

    I have been looking into bullet points but I would not know how to directly change this widget and not all bullet points.

    See https://developer.chrome.com/devtools/docs/dom-and-styles to inspect styles. Custom CSS is then put inside your theme.
