Hi Florin!
Could you please take a look at this article? I’m sure it will be helpful: In Enable Media Replace the image isn’t replaced. Why?
Cheers!
Replace is ACTUALLY not replacing file. I’ve done it many times now.
—— Keep name ———–
Replace file A with B. Keep name.
Open file A, it is still old A.
Check filesystem. It is still old A.
Do Replace file A with B AGAIN. Now Open file A, it is B.
Check filesystem, it is B.
——- Change name ———-
If you do the same using Change name, something else happens.
File A is changed to B with new name B.
Check filesystem. File A + B both exist.
This is nothing to do with cache. It’s a recent bug/conflict.

Because of this, now I found I have some orphan files. How can I find these, both file.jpg and file100x100.jpg etc, that’s not used in WP?

This is useless.
It’s replacing the file, but leaving old files there. Completely unusable now as it’s littering the filesystem with orphan files.
Given it takes ZERO effort to test and find this bug, I can only assume this bug is worth less than that effort.
Hi, blazmate.
From our tests and reports from other clients, we haven’t found a bug with the plugin. The replacing is working correctly from our side, so I assume there must be some kind of issue specific to your website.
Let’s continue the discussion on the thread you recently opened 🙂
