Replace slider on homepage

    Whats the best way to replace the slider on the homepage with the Revolution Slider?

    <?php putRevSlider(“slider1”, “homepage”) ?>

    I’d like to do this with my child theme but am slightly lost on how to set this replacement part up.
    Is this possible? Thanks for the guidance and help.
