I’ve inherited a database where the client has many posts with
instead of spaces. But for some reason the search and replace tool does not find any instance of despite the fact I can clearly see them in the database.My intention is to simply replace all instances of
with a space.Is there any way to get around this limitation?

I had the same issue – but the other way round, I wanted to replace certain characters that weren’t displaying properly with html entities.
So far the only way I’ve found of doing this is an SQL query in phpMyAdmin. For example:
update wp_posts set post_content = replace(post_content,'ž','ž')If anyone from Delicious Brains is reading this, any chance of adding a way to deal with this in a future version?
(Sorry, I can’t make the html entity show as an html entity!
