My link is an example of the reason for my request.

When adding custom tabs, they are ordered by the date in which you create them.
In this example, you can see that there are many accordion OPTIONS of veneer choices. They are created in modules so they can be added specific to each product.

Some modules have been made long before others, therefore, when going to add them to a new product, it involves a lot of hunting and pecking through OTHER modules in order to find the modules needed.

It would be MUCH easier if, by using a naming convention, say “Veneers-name of”, we could locate them quicker more efficiently to add them to the product. IF the plugin allowed us to SORT the titles?

    Perhaps in an update?

As it is now I have to recreate past modules so they are all together or hunt and peck to find them each and every product. This isn’t what automation is about 🙁

    Hi @tabledesigns,

The premium version of our plugin does allow drag-and-drop sorting of your saved and global tabs. However, that feature is designed for use when ordering tabs on the product page. I’m not sure if that will interfere with your use case.

Let me know if that helps,
    Jon

    Hi Jon

What I was hoping is that I could sort on the backend, actually IN the custom tab section so I could put all of the alike modules together – BUT when you say with premium you can bulk add – to multiple products, would that mean that for example I could add all 10 of the tab options in the order I want TO all of the products in category at once? (Not 1, multiple tabs) like the page example.

THEN I wouldn’t have to be concerned with them being in order on the backend – at the moment I am frustratingly adding one tab at a time to hundreds of a particular type of product (tiny voice cries helpppp meeee) 🙂

    Hi @tabledesigns,

Yes, that is correct! You can assign tabs based on taxonomy, so either category or tag. Then if you wanted to ensure they were in order (grouped by prefix, how you have them now) you’d just use the drag and drop sorting feature to reorder them all in the list of saved tabs.

Let me know if that helps,
    Jon

    Thanks Jon,

My employer purchased premium for us last night and I’ve been able to get a lot more done in much less time. I found though that the tabs all reordered themselves, not sure how or why – since I had JUST recreated several so they were all grouped together – prior to our purchasing premium. All is well though because I am now able to drag and drop, but I did find that somewhat peculiar. For the future, I think it would be great if you gave the plugin the ability to also REMOVE by bulk. Thank you.

    Hello again,

So…. I have been sorting my tabs – since I can now, and this is an issue.

I have many tabs, so being close to done moving them – only to turn around and see that they all resorted themselves and in no kind of logical way is rather disconcerting.
A real waste of time really.

Any light you can shed on this? :-/
