Request: Compatability with user switching plugin

This is a request to create support for logging events from the plugin User Switching (https://sv.ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/user-switching/).

It’s a pretty common workflow for sites to use this plugin to have admins switch between users for debugging and testing permissions etc. What would be super cool would if these switches was logged in wp-security-audit. Even cooler would be if the log would say something like “userA (logged in as userB) updated plugin” for exaxmple.

Just a suggestion!

Sorry for the late response.

I can confirm that support for the User Switching plugin will be included in the upcoming version: 3.3.2.

The plugin will use a dedicated event and report the user logging in as another user.

Hello @slimmilkduds

Yesterday we announced WP Security Audit Log 3.4 in which we also support the User Switching plugin.

So whenever you switch to a new user the plugin will keep a log of it (event ID 1008). Refer to the list of event IDs for the complete list of things the plugin can keep a log of.

Cool! There seems to be a bit of an issue with the event however, it looks like this: Switched to NULL with role administrator, superadmin.

When clicking on the extra details of the event the correct user name is shown. Not a big deal, just wanted to let you know

That shouldn’t be so @slimmilkduds . The username should be shown in the event. Can you please send us the system information file (https://www.wpsecurityauditlog.com/support-documentation/send-wordpress-system-info-file-plugin-support/) so we can troubleshoot this?
