• Since the built in contact form doesn’t support captcha or other spam prevention and I usually prefer Contact Form 7, it’s great that you guys offer a shortcode option for each listing! Thanks for that 🙂

The only downside to it is that some users don’t know how to use shortcodes and it’s rather cumbersome to explain them that they need to find the shortcode, copy and paste it in the box for each listing. While we could duplicate each listing, then we end up with photos attached that shouldn’t be there, so it’s cleaner to show them how to create a new one.

It would be great to have a setting somewhere where I can specify a default value for that field for each listing. Thusly whenever a listing is created anew, it will automatically have that field filled out with my Contact Form 7 form.

I know I can edit the default template (I think singl-listing.php), but I much prefer to make changes that will be forward-thinking and prevent potential problems in the future with upgrades or security issues in the template file.

    Thanks for the consideration!

You can edit the single-listing.php with your shortcode or other logic. Place it in the root of your theme folder and it will not be overwritten in a plugin update.
