    Your plugin is using 6/7 extra requests on page load: css, js and 4-5 images.
    Combining images to sprites – 3 requests
    Not using images at all, but ★★★★★ symbols (example https://jsfiddle.net/gfoue47u/) – 2 requests
    Site admins (not you) using build scripts/plugins to combine css/js – 0 extra requests !

    This can’t be done easily as to accomplish that, the plugin will need to be re-written as it is very dated. Unfortunately, I have no time to do it, so the plugin will remain as it is right now.
