I have having the same issued mentioned in this old ticket, but I did not see an answer to it.

I am using the plugin’s shortcode within a page. I do not have any fields on the form marked as required.

On the UI, I fill out every field that’s visible. Yet, when I attempt to submit, I get the following popup message: “Some required information is missing or invalid. Please complete the fields highlighted in red”.

No fields are marked in red.

The problem is that when using the shortcode on a dedicated page AND having the donate button enabled on the menu, the form is in the DOM twice. So, when submitting the form from the dedicated page, the validator is checking the first seamless-donations-form in the DOM and that’s the one defined by the menu.

Seamless Donations doesn’t provide a donate button on a menu. It’s just available through a short code, which generally is meant to work in the body of a page. Also, that post you pointed to was over a year old, which means it was using the old 3.x version of Seamless Donations which is vastly different from the current version.
