You need to use the actual URL that WordPress is installed on. I went to http://cpaslite.cp-2.webhostbox.net because that’s what you’re using in your screensot, but there’s no WordPress installation there.

What you’ve posted there proves my point. π
In both cases the site was moved, and the WordPress installation was not found at the URL that they were using – exactly like you. When they got that problem sorted out the issue was fixed. You will have the same resolution.

The only thing that I can think of is DNS. How long has it been since that domain was active?
I’ve gone to http://cpaslite.net.cp-2.webhostbox.net/xmlrpc.php and I can see the XMLRPC error message, which means that it’s working on the server. As that’s the case it is more likely that there’s something in the app that’s not reading that URL properly (most likely DNS), or that there’s something on the server that doesn’t want to allow XMLRPC connection. If it’s the app, you’ll need to ask them. If it’s on the server you’ll need to ask your hosting company.

@catacaustic Thank you, I’m thinking on this first try to connect with hosting provider later on I will look for Mobile app but do you know the WordPress official app support link ?
I’m thankful for all this !
I think that it’s here:
https://apps.wordpress.com/support/
That’s a good place to start at least.

Yes you say , Thanks man !!
TIL that this block is something at the host level. My host is DigitalOcean.
I downloaded the rename-xml-rpc plugin (see https://apps.wordpress.com/support/#faq-ios-12) which unfortunately shows as not updated for last 3 major WP releases!
I renamed my xmlrpc at my WP root (I used Filezilla). Then I followed install instructions at https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/rename-xml-rpc/#installation i.e. by changing the name of xmlrpc variable (in the plugin’s php file) to match my new xmlrpc name.
I installed and activated the plugin. Now I am able to proceed to user name/ password of the login in the mobile app.
