The plugin does require PHP 5.3 or higher. Your PHP version can be updated by contacting your hosting provider. We would recommend doing this regardless of whether you use our plugin or not, as WordPress itself may start requiring PHP 7 as a minimum requirement soon, https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/updating-php-version/
The issue you are experiencing is simply a requirement for using the plugin, and does not mean the plugin is broken. If you cannot get into your site, you can delete the plugin using an FTP program such as FileZilla, logging into your server, and deleting the plugin folder.
