If you using 5.*, it will empty the tables of all synced users and their Zotero items (items, collections, tags, metadata, etc.).
If you’re using 6.* it will remove the users and their caches.
For both, it will remove all Zotpress options, such as default user, default citation style, etc.
It won’t (and can’t) remove shortcodes. So make sure to manually remove the ones you don’t want to use anymore or re-import your library if you’re using 5.*.
I installed 6.0.3. It worked. Now it doesn’t.
I installed 6.0.3, created new API credentials to for read-only access to a new group, created a collection in that group, added one paper, and was able to display in a page by including a “collection” shortcode. One paper displayed, using APA style as the default. I added 3 more papers – only the first displayed. I went and messed around w/ the default style, changed to Vancouver – 3 displayed. Changed to APA – one displayed. removed and restored account, no difference, Checked “Browse” – four papers visible. Added an image to one of the papers in Browse – all four displayed in APA. Could not find a way to remove the image. Noticed that nothing was displaying anymore – only spinning gear. Hit “reset” – added credentials again. Spinning gear. Eventually spinning gear becomes static. Uninstalled. Reinstalled. credentials still in place. Spinning gear. “reset” again. Revoked old credentials on zotero, created new ones. Spinning gear. The upper hand pull down in Browse is stuck on Loading (I think that’s been the case since the spinning/static gear first started).
Any idea what’s wrong? Zotero site shows the API key updates it’s “Last used” time.
Thanks
BTW – here’s the site: https://multisite-dev-www-1.cirg.washington.edu/draftpubspage/
(perhaps I should have said – I’ve tried searching the forums. Found some stuff on Reset, but none of it seemed to fit. Ditto the stuff on import/sync problems. If I’ve missed something, please point me to the right posting!)
Also, WP 4.3.1 configured for multiple sites (“network mode”?) on a turnkeylinux virtual machine. I didn’t set up the VM, and I don’t know if it was the TK WP appliance, or just a TK core system w/ WP installed from scratch. My feeling is that none of that matters, since it (mostly) worked when first set up.
Thanks

I think the first set of issues had to do with syncing times — perhaps you didn’t manually sync on your end, and/or perhaps it was the 10 min delay Zotpress uses before checking for updates (so we don’t overload the Zotero servers).
It may also be what you’re setting for the style. You have to make sure that the shortcode style is formatted according to the url in the Zotero Styles repository (for example, not “MLA” as we might expect, but modern-language-association, if my memory serves) or the same for the default style if you’ve set one and you don’t set one in the shortcode.
I’m not sure why it isn’t working now. You can contact me with your API id, key and the shortcode: http://katieseaborn.com/contact
Two problems at once… Now perhaps resolved.
1) You’re right – syncing times seem a reasonable explanation for the missing citations. I’ll pay attention to that. And, I’ll look for info as to how to manually sync. Not sure if you meant manually sync Zotero to upload new citations, or manually sync Zotpress to update more frequently than 10 mins… I know how to do the former, but didn’t see how to do the later, unless it’s implicit in “Browse”
2) When I recreated the account (several times), I indicated it was an account of type “user”, when it was actually a “group” User ID. Sort of subtle… Resulted in a valid call to Zotero, but no tags or citations returned. I think the “endlessly loading” upper right menu on the Browse page was because tags were not being returned.
Works again.

1) Sorry, I meant you manually syncing your updates in Zotero by clicking the sync button.
2) Yeah, that would do it. Glad it’s working again.
