    Hey,

is it possible to delete all exisiting posts, widgets WordPress is creating on a fresh installation before importing the demo data?

Or must the user delete all posts (like Hello World) manually?

    Another question:
Will there be an option that the demo importer automatically resets the database to a fresh WordPress installation before importing the demo data?

    Cheers

    Hi,

WordPress by default only adds one post, one page and a few widgets. These should be deleted by the user, if that is what he wants. Our plugin only imports the data, it does not delete or overwrite anything (except for customizer settings).

We will not be adding an option to delete prior content before importing because that could destroy users exiting content, which he might want to keep… We can not assume, that users want to delete all content before importing the demo data. If you want, you can hook into our before import filter hook and delete some content for your customers only, but I don’t think that is a good idea.

    Take care!

You can use this plugin. This will reset your entire WP data and then you can run this plugin https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wordpress-database-reset/
