The following was sent to me to help me reset my forgotten password:
1) Through the automatic emailer
The automatic emailer doesn’t recognize my email (which I correctly entered) and doesn’t send it to my email when I enter my user name;
3) MySQL Command Line
I have no idea how to follow the directions of this recovery method
phpMyAdmin
Again, I have no idea how to do this
4) Through FTP
Have no idea how to proceed
5) Through WP CLI
This is a mystery to me
6) Using the Emergency Password Reset Script
script in the root of your WordPress installation
Don’t have a clue where/what the script in the root of my wordpress installation is.
Since I am inept when it comes to getting into my website, should I abandon my website?
Or is there a way you can make the reset password automatic mailer recognize my email and/or send me an email when I use my user name?
Or better yet, can you just reset my password? Pleeeezzzzz? Or mail me a new password? I have been trying now for weeks, hoping that the automatic reset password would be fixed. To emphasize just how ignorant I am about tech terms, I haven’t a clue as to what FTP, CLI, SQL, PHP stand for. I even had a struggle finding where to post a cry for help! How I ever managed to get my website up and running is beyond me.
Oh, I have another problem which I tried to get support on a long time ago. I managed to get all my website pictures to disappear. Have tried to get support to solve this problem, but haven’t succeeded yet. Please be gentle with replies, I’m 82 yo female. Respect your elders. Is there a human out there who is inclined to help me? This is not a hoax. I am a real person. Please help. Jeri Geblin

I think you’re misunderstanding things here. We don’t actually run your site or have any form of control over it in any way. So *you* must resolve your problem, because nobody here can do anything to your site, in any way whatsoever. Hence, You need to resolve this issue with your developer.
If you can’t do the work yourself, you have the option of engaging a professional to assist you. If you want to follow that option and hire someone for this, then please try http://jobs.wordpress.net/ and do not accept any hire or direct access offers posted to these forums.
