    Hi,

When customers forgot their password and click on “lost password”, it is clarified that their account does not exist, whereas it does. When they want to create a new account, it is said that he account already exists with the clarified email address. This issue concern all customers.

Would you please be kind and let me know where the issue comes from and how to sort it out?

Many thanks for your help and kind regards,

    Fanny

    Hi @npu2021,

Are you using any custom pages, membership plugins or other non-default WordPress ways of handling users on your site? Wordfence can be set to intentionally hide whether an account exists on the lost-password form, but only to leave ambiguity over whether an account is valid or invalid to malicious actors. Your symptom may be coming from conflict with another plugin, or a mismatch between the username/email and the stored WordPress user account.

    Thanks,
    Peter.

    Hi Peter,

Many thanks for answering to me and please accept my apologies for replying so lately.

Actually I finally found the issue: I forgot to tick 3 things in the settings.

    Thanks again and best regards,

    Fanny
