How can I reset the theme to it’s original?

I made modifications so that the author don’t show in the archive and single post. Now I want to reset it. I made the modifications to 1.4 version and now have 1.5 version but cant seem to get it fixed. I deleted the theme via ftp and downloaded the new version to my computer and uploaded it via ftp. But still no changes.

Can someone help please?

Hello,

Have you modified the Code in child-theme or Main Theme ?

For resetting Data in the Options Table you can do this easily with Restore-Defaults Settings.

I changed it in the main theme.

Will the RESTORE-DEFAULTS give me the original coding? So that it shows the author again?

Hi,

Yes, All the Defaults Settings will be called when you do Restore-Default.

I tried that, (I updated to 1.5.1 version), but it didn’t bring back the author on my blog posts. Any other ideas?

RESTORE-DEFAULTS is the Best options to reset the settings in the dB.
